01 Is hydroxyapatite actually as effective as fluoride?

Yes, when the concentration is right. Decades of Japanese clinical data — where HAp has been a recognized anticaries agent since 1993 — support 10% as the threshold for measurable remineralization. We meet it; most other brands don't.

02 Why nano AND micro hydroxyapatite?

They do different jobs. Nano-HAp is small enough to enter dental tubules and address sensitivity at the nerve. Micro-HAp coats the surface and rebuilds the visible enamel layer. Using both is how you get the full effect.

03 Can children use it?

Yes. Hydroxyapatite is biocompatible and safe if swallowed — one of the reasons we chose it. We still recommend a rice-grain amount for kids under 3 and a pea-sized amount thereafter.

04 Is it safe during pregnancy?

Hydroxyapatite is a calcium phosphate — the same mineral as bone and enamel. There are no known contraindications during pregnancy. As always, talk to your dentist or OB if you have specific concerns.

05 What's the actual ingredient list?

Water, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Hydroxyapatite (nano & micro), Xylitol, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Zinc Citrate, Aloe Vera, Peppermint Oil, Spearmint Leaf Oil, Menthol, Stevia. That's the whole thing.

06 How does the subscription work?

One tube per month, free shipping. Skip, change size, pause, or cancel — all from your account, no chat queue, no retention guilt. The first order ships within 24 hours.

07 Is the tube recyclable?

The body is aluminum — wash it, flatten it, drop it in your curbside bin. The cap is HDPE and recyclable in most municipal streams. The carton is FSC-certified paperboard.

08 Why is it more expensive than the drugstore?

Because 10% nano + micro HAp costs roughly 30× a fluoride blend at the same volume. We make money on the subscription, not the markup. The math is on the whitepaper.

09 What is hydroxyapatite toothpaste?

Hydroxyapatite (HAp) is a calcium phosphate mineral — the same material that makes up 97% of tooth enamel. In toothpaste, it works by binding to enamel and dentin to rebuild the mineral layer you lose through acid, abrasion, and daily wear. Unlike fluoride, which forms a temporary protective layer, HAp integrates with your existing tooth structure.

10 How do I use One+ hydroxyapatite toothpaste?

Brush twice daily with a pea-sized amount for two minutes. Spit, don't rinse — leaving a thin film on the teeth gives the hydroxyapatite more contact time to bind to enamel. No special technique required; a soft-bristle brush and consistent daily use is what matters.

11 How long does remineralization take?

Most people notice reduced sensitivity within 2–4 weeks of daily use. Visible enamel changes take longer — typically 8–12 weeks of consistent brushing. Hydroxyapatite works cumulatively, so the longer you use it, the more complete the remineralization.

12 Does hydroxyapatite whiten teeth?

Not in the bleaching sense. HAp rebuilds the enamel surface, which can restore a natural, healthy appearance and reduce the look of translucency at the edges. It won't change your underlying tooth color the way peroxide strips do — but healthier enamel often looks brighter.

13 Is Klyyr toothpaste fluoride-free?

Yes. One+ contains zero fluoride. We use 10% nano- and micro-hydroxyapatite as the active remineralizing agent instead. If you're looking for a fluoride-free alternative backed by clinical data, this is it.

14 Where is Klyyr made and where do you ship?

One+ is formulated and fulfilled in Utah, USA. We ship to all 50 US states. Orders placed before 2pm MT ship same day; standard delivery is 3–5 business days. International shipping is not available yet.

15 Is Klyyr vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes on both. One+ contains no animal-derived ingredients and is never tested on animals. The formula is plant-based with the exception of the hydroxyapatite itself, which is a lab-synthesized mineral identical to natural enamel.

16 Does hydroxyapatite help with sensitive teeth?

Yes — this is one of its best-documented benefits. Nano-hydroxyapatite particles are small enough to enter open dentinal tubules and block the pathway to the nerve. Most users report meaningful sensitivity reduction within a few weeks of daily use.

17 What size is the tube and how long does it last?

One+ comes in a 75ml (2.5 oz) aluminum tube. With twice-daily use, one tube lasts approximately 6–8 weeks for one person. The subscription delivers one tube per month so you never run out.

18 Can I use hydroxyapatite toothpaste with other oral care products?

Yes. One+ works alongside floss, tongue scrapers, and alcohol-free mouthwash. Avoid rinsing with fluoride mouthwash immediately after brushing if you want maximum HAp contact time. Wait 30 minutes, or use a fluoride-free rinse instead.
