Hydroxyapatite + xylitol toothpaste.
Hydroxyapatite and xylitol toothpaste puts a calcium-phosphate mineral and a sugar alcohol in the same formula. Klyyr One+ lists xylitol alongside a combined 10% nano + micro hydroxyapatite blend.
That label pairing is not proof of synergy. Hydroxyapatite trials and xylitol studies use different doses, formats, schedules, and endpoints. A 2024 systematic review found that xylitol’s caries-preventive effect could not be confirmed consistently across the included studies.
HAp is the mineral
One+ lists nano + micro hydroxyapatite at a combined 10%.
Xylitol is separate
Xylitol is a sugar alcohol in the formula; One+ does not disclose it as an anticaries drug active.
Dose matters
Evidence from gums, candies, rinses, or high-frequency xylitol use does not automatically transfer to one toothpaste.
No synergy claim
The presence of both ingredients does not establish that One+ outperforms either ingredient alone.
Two familiar ingredients on one label still require two separate evidence questions.
Ingredient map
Same tube, separate evidence.
Hydroxyapatite and xylitol appear in one formula, but studies of one ingredient, dose, or delivery format do not automatically prove a combined effect in One+.
The evidence
What the sources actually say
The evidence, in context.
The 2024 systematic review included nine human clinical trials and concluded that a preventive effect against caries could not be confirmed consistently. That is more informative than treating every xylitol-containing product as equivalent.
The HAp adult trial studied a different 10% HAp toothpaste. It did not isolate xylitol or test One+.

01 Does One+ contain both hydroxyapatite and xylitol?
Yes. One+ lists xylitol and a combined 10% nano + micro hydroxyapatite blend in its 16-ingredient formula.
02 Why is xylitol used in toothpaste?
Xylitol is a sugar alcohol used in oral-care products and as a sweetener. Research varies by dose, frequency, delivery format, population, and endpoint.
03 Does xylitol toothpaste prevent cavities?
A 2024 systematic review did not confirm a consistent caries-preventive effect across the included xylitol studies. Evidence from other formats or doses is not a One+ result.
04 Does xylitol replace fluoride?
No ingredient substitution should be assumed from the label. One+ is 0 ppm fluoride. Ask a dentist whether a fluoride-free routine fits your cavity risk.
