Fluoride-free + SLS-free toothpaste.
Fluoride-free and SLS-free toothpaste removes two different ingredients for two different reasons. Klyyr One+ contains 0 ppm fluoride and no sodium lauryl sulfate. It uses sodium cocoyl glutamate as the surfactant and 10% nano + micro hydroxyapatite as the named mineral.
Fluoride is an anticaries ingredient with a large evidence base. SLS is a foaming surfactant. Choosing a paste without both does not turn them into the same question—and it does not make the formula an anticaries drug product.
Fluoride
One+ contains 0 ppm. Fluoride and SLS serve different roles in conventional toothpaste.
SLS
Sodium lauryl sulfate is not in One+. Sodium cocoyl glutamate is the listed surfactant.
Hydroxyapatite
A combined 10% nano + micro blend is the named mineral in the formula.
Lower foam
One+ foams less than a typical SLS paste. Foam volume is not a clinical endpoint.
Two exclusions. Two separate explanations. One fully listed formula.
Formula roles
The mineral and the surfactant are different choices.
One+ names hydroxyapatite as its mineral and sodium cocoyl glutamate as its surfactant. “Fluoride-free” and “SLS-free” should not be collapsed into one claim.
The evidence
What the sources actually say
The evidence, in context.
The adult HAp trial compared another fluoride-free 10% HAp paste with a fluoride paste for one caries endpoint. The SLS review examined recurrent aphthous stomatitis outcomes in people using SLS-free versus SLS-containing dentifrices.
Neither publication tested One+, and neither makes “free from” language a universal health claim.

01 Are fluoride and SLS the same kind of ingredient?
No. Fluoride compounds are used as anticaries actives. SLS is a surfactant used for foaming and dispersion.
02 What does One+ use instead?
One+ uses 10% nano + micro hydroxyapatite as the named mineral and sodium cocoyl glutamate as the surfactant.
03 Does fluoride-free One+ have the ADA Seal?
No. One+ does not carry the ADA Seal of Acceptance. The ADA requires fluoride in toothpastes accepted for anticaries claims.
04 Is SLS-free toothpaste proven to prevent canker sores?
A systematic review found possible benefit in people with recurrent aphthous stomatitis, but it included four crossover trials and called for stronger research. It did not test One+.
